He couldn 't kill Itachi, only regain control over him. He had to to hold back his strength so he wouldn't harm Sasuke, or especially kill him. Thought it was obvious what I meant, so I shortened my post for my own convenience.

True. But I'm sure DSM grants more than just 2 Senpōs :/ Hopefully we'll see through Orochimaru...

Kabuto used alot of jutsu in that battle and tried to capture/kill/absorb sasuke.

If anyone didnt go all out it was the uchiha bros not useing there strongest attacks or anything.

While kabuto use over 5 jutsu

DSM kabuto is an uchiha's worst nightmare, I think he can easily take on most uchiha's in a 1 on 1, barring edo Madara

Um, yes, it's very clear Kabuto wanted Sasuke's powers for his own. That's kinda his thing, making other peoples' power his own.

IMO kabuto is a bad character, plus he brought back a team that was beaten by 12 year old K11. come on...kabuto could have used any character in NV that was dead and he choose them. it's bad enough we had to sit through his horrible back story and in the end he was bad at playing orochimaru. good riddance, now lets go back to the war

Kabuto vs Itachi is such a banal topic, I avoid it when I can.
@bold, true. It's a shame that it's wasted effort on some people. Kabuto is such a deep character. The only thing he ever wanted, ever needed, was for someone to acknowledge him.

Most people don't care for the character's motives or background and they'll rather be a fanboy of a character that has flashy moves and is extremely overpowered. I always liked characters with a tragic background much more than the characters with flashy moves and all. The tragic characters seem more interesting to me.

Yep. It's pretty annoying. Certain people don't know how to enjoy a story. But to each their own, I guess.
That's why I love Danzō too. He's a pretty complicated character. To simply say he's a hero or a villain doesn't do him justice.
