I don't underestimate Kabuto. I just see him (and Orochimaru) being bested by Itachi, meanwhile you have Madara completely destroying the kages without even trying. I think just: if Itachi can do it, Madara can do it better.

You do realize that neither were being serious and we still haven't seen Kabuto's fullest potential. And again, Kabuto didn't use Edo Tensei against Itachi, and that is a huge factor in that battle. With Edo Tensei Kabuto has the power to beat almost anyone. Including Madara. Also, Madara is an Edo. If we're talking about living Madara then he already died multiple times. Like when Tsunade punched a hole in him.

Madara has the rinnegan. He could probably rip Kabuto's soul out and stick it somewhere. I wouldn't put it past him.

Can Madara rip out Kabuto's soul? Kabuto could summon a bunch of powerful Edos like Hanzo, the past Kages, Akatsuki, Gold and Silver, etc. and just sit back and watch them fight Madara, and if he feels anyone touch him he could liquify his body. So Soul Removal is completely ineffective.
