Kabuto and orochimaru's obsession with sasuke

Kabuto and orochimaru in essence want the power of the sharingan for obvious reason.

Why dont they just revive madara with edo tensei and take his eyes. Or rather why didnt orochimaru just kill sasuke and take his eyes during the chuunin exam. Why does he want sasuke in particular.

could it be that the uchiha also carry the mental energy and chakra of the sage of the 6 paths which makes sasuke's vessel more unique.

Please enlighten me as to why sasuke is so important

Kabuto wants sasuke becoz he wants an alive uchiha body for experiments edo's don't have the same body, they are just resurrected in some other person's body while oro wanted sasuke obviously for his sharinghan but as a bonus he was also getting a young body which would be more usefull to him also uchiha's have much more chakra then the ordinary shinobis...

I think it's possible that Orochimaru (someway or another) found out about the Rinnegan and the Rinne Tensei. With that said, I think he may have wanted the Sharingan (both Sasuke's and Itachi's) to get EMS and eventually the Rinnegan (nowhere in the manga has it been stated that only an Uchiha can get EMS... at least I think it didn't). Then he would use Rinne Tensei to bring back his parents. He probably knew that Edo Tensei is not good enough for his purposes, as he probably wanted his parents to be real, not zombies. In that sense, he wanted Sasuke in order to get Itachi's eyes, in order to get the EMS in order to get the Rinnegan. Of course, this is just me thinking out loud, but if anyone would know about the EMS - Rineggan link (besides Tobi) it's Orochimaru.

He needs the body to be able to use the eyes to it's full potential or he's just going to end up like Kakashi, getting tired all the time when he uses it.
Plus Oro was observing it as Sasuke was developing it, so that he could further more understand it before taking it over.

remember that when orochimaru tkes someone he puts his soul into the persons body like the mind body switch jutsu that ino uses and the person goes into his body. so i thik oro needs an uchiha body that is at its prime and the reason he turned to sasuke was because itachi was too strong for him.
