Juuzou's identity

We all know what Big Madam did to Juuzou when he was a kid. I decided to see what would happen to real person if he went through similar experience and I found this: "If both were removed, permanent monthly shots would need to be taken to maintain his sexual identity." This explains why Juuzou looks a lot like a girl.
(I was surprised when Shinohara referred to Juuzou as "him", 'cause up until then I though Juuzou was a girl).

Before reading manga I watched the anime. In the anime he is more feminine than in manga, I guess that's the reason why I thought he is a girl.
