He only couldn't use Kamui's intangibility ability because it wasn't allowed by the Ten Tails. It was probably because the Ten Tails would get disintegrated when his body went to the other dimension. He could still use the dimension traveling ability.

So I don't get why Obito as a Juubi Jinchuriki couldn't use Kamui. I am thinking because it took a lot of chakra to control the Juubi's power within him, hence all the inner tensions that he was having. But why couldn't Obito use Kamui as a JJ but Madara was easily able to perform this feat.

Obito could use it he just couldn't phase like normally
Doubt madara would be able to faze too
