In the latest manga chapter 614 we got to know that in order to get complete mastery over the Juubi Madara must become its Jinchuuriki.
On the other hand, he is still an Edo and the condition for him to become the jinchuuriki is that he must be mortal and he needs a living body for him to get revived. That's why he need Obito most importantly his rinne tensei jutsu. Also Obito won't revive him until he ensures that the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan comes into fruition. So Madara is at a disadvantage. Here we see Madara's/Obito's betrayal.
From this, we see more number of events before Juubi's next transformation i.e.,
Obito's long show of despair
Madara standing quietly and watching Obito's show
ASF getting more f**ked up
More deaths
Naruto waiting for charged up Kurama
Fail attempt of Infinite Tsukuyomi?
Obito confused and reveal of Madara's actual plan
