Was is not stated that after the Sage of 6 Paths reached the end of his life he used the creation of all things to break its chakra up into 9 seperate entities and housed its husk in the moon?

Was it not also stated that the husk of the Juubi was the Gedo Mezo? So at what point did the Juubi's husk move from the moon and become the Gedo statue?
