I know a lot of people were worried about this guy, but I was talking with the guy with the scans.

Most likely it is an experiment created by Orochimaru, or someone else. The Sharingan is not really close to the Rinnegan in a sense of how the Juubi was close to the Rinnegan-Sharingan ... But the problem here is that the Akatsuki member has the same exact black mini rods that the Six Paths of Pain wore.

So many are speculating another Rinnegan enemy of some sort. So ... maybe Rinnegan Sasuke/RSM Naruto v. Rinnegan feats? Just a heads up. Speculate among yourselves.

Yeah I thought it was interesting in that spoiler thread you posted. The hooded guy has a mini juubi with black rods? He either has to have what Obito had half senju/half uchiha or a rinnegan.

Plausible, actually no. You are completely correct.

Unless this guy is super hack, I don't see anything but a stomp.

It could have something to do with Madara's Lower half when he was the Juubi Jin that was bisected by Sasuke. I wouldn't be surprised if this mysterious Akatsuki member somehow got his hands on Madara's eyes.

Would have been cool if he explained what the actual fk happened to the Senju clan.

But he has to beat that dead horse. I seriously thought all the Uchiha's got what they wanted, which is why many speculated they wouldn't be wanked anymore. Because the whole clan got their revenge after all those years of being manipulated (Black zetsu being sealed)
