Yea, just want to make sure that we all know this..

Without the help from Gaara, Kakashi, Rock Lee, and Minato
Gai would have lost rather quickly..
Madara was restricted of alot of his Juubi Jin power by having all but one of his sphere's taken away by Minato and Rock Lee interference.

People tend to forget that JJ Madara was not facing Gai alone, but it was Gai with Kakashi, Gaara, Minato, and Rock Lee support. As was made apparent showing them all tired and worn out.

Had Madara had all his omnyoudon, and was fightning Gai alone...welll...

gai was not 100% when he fought him. he opened up the gates doing massive amounts of damage to his body before he even got to use the 8th gate.. in theory if gai had not opened up any gates that day and did not use any chakra, or basically was at 100% health, he could have very well killed madara. so really there is no way of knowing in my opinion
