The latest chapter showed that kaguya/juubi was giving Madara his power deliberately. Obito had to subdue the juubi to become a perfect jinchuriki while Madara shares the same goals as kaguya. That would be the reason he became a perfect jinchuriki in the first place and didn't go through the imperfect stage like Obito did. People really did believe that Madara controlled the juubi instantly and was far better than Obito?
