It's irrelevant that the juubi's energy is pure. You're adding more power to it, it's simple as that.

Let me explain it using your gold analogy: If you have 1 bar of pure gold, you have an X amount of money. If you have 2 bars of pure gold(same size as the other), you'll have 2 times more money(2X).

The same thing for the juubi's power, except the juubi gets powerful, instead of rich.

And, frankly, given that Madara effortlessly destroyed several Biju while Jinchuriki Obito was having trouble with much more trivial issues, it is obvious that Madara is stronger.

I'm pretty sure he said potent, not power, relating it to the potentical to use the juubi's power. You're basically saying that if one sealed the hachibi's tail or the hachibi inside a person, they would have the same power. You're basically saying that naruto is almost equal obito jin, because naruto has a small part of most tailed beasts, and it doesn't make a difference.
