Not sure why Naruto gave up on his clone spammage but I believe if he focused on that instead of ONLY Rasengan he would have been much stronger. These are some he could potentially learn:

Shadow Clone Durability(Hiruzen)
Exploding Shadow Clone Jutsu(Itachi)
Using SM and KCM Clones


Hell, he could use that 1000 clone training technique to learn any jutsu in the village rivaling even Prime Hiruzen

of course there is physical limit but why do you think people wear heavy vests and carry large objects if they want to increase their strength, its because they are increasing their mass which in turn increases their gravity, plus their have been studies where chickens have been put in a centrifuge rotating at increased speeds over a period of months (thus increasing gravity) and when they were taken out they had more muscle mass, more heart capacity and overall better health

He'd be pretty boss if he used their KKG outside of rasengan. Lava armor with steam release would give his offensive taijutsu a major boost.

I believe if he knew how to use Shisekiyōjin. He could have avoided having to tank momo's TBB directly.

The problem with SM nardo is that he lacked good movements, he had shunshin but not enough to compete with war arc, then lastly he got reach due to chakra arms, enabled him to connect his ninjutsu more successfully instead of another possible escape like pain did to naruto's first FRS.
