A lot of bad talk has been going around about the ethics of edo tensi because of it's negative use for the war, but let me remind you that it is currently being used to obtain information from the past hokages. That is a noble use, therefore it cannot be an evil jutsu.

Take into consideration amaterasu, which merely destroys. Would that not be more evil that edo tensi? yet it gets no bad rep?

Personally, I am of the opinion that since Jutsu is merely knowledge, it is neutral. However, the user can be good or bad.

The different is the Amaterasu came on it's own while the Edo Tensei has been created.....also, the Edo Tensei is getting all of this negativity because it disrespects the dead while no other Jutsu has done such thing.

Saying it is morally wrong is your opinion. What if the sacrifices were willing? And say, summoning someone like a hokage is not disrespectful, they have a duty to their nation even after death. If they can provide information, as they are now, they are obligated to do so. They don't seem peeved that they are resurrected.
