Not what I'd call worth paying for. The special effects weren't much better than anything you would see in any other movie, and the storyline was asspull after asspull, and the movie was basically pitch black throughout, so most of the time (especially towards the end of the movie) it was just like sitting in a room without any light...

Anyone else have the same thoughts about the movie, or opinions other than this?

I agree almost the whole movie was shot so that you could only see the actor/object of focus and a few feet around them everything else was completely dark, it also had a shi??y story and characters

It was a decent movie, I'd like it we got to see the face of the character the entire movie is named after. Its so focused on the humans that it isn't even about Godzilla until the remaining 30-40 minutes. The same problem with the Transformers movies, too much focus on the humans at times, though in the case of Godzilla, its much worse than Transformers.

People, it's a movie about a monster fighting other monsters, it delivered, I saw it and I had no expectations for the quality of the story, the first few minutes were good, when Bryan Cranston was alive, after that I had no interest in the characters, and Godzilla might've not been long in the movie but I was expecting that, if Godzilla was show for 1 hour it wouldn't be the same, it's the fact that he wasn't in so much that when everytime he appeared I was screaming, and don't tell me you didn't felt something when he killed the female muto, it was so fu*king awesome, but yeah for what it was, it was a prety good movie.

While I agree on some parts, like Bryan Cranston's character and the moment where Godzilla killed the Muto, it would've been a much better movie if we got more of Gozilla appearing in the movie.

Its a story of a freaking monster fighting more freaking monsters. If you want to see a movie filled with passionate, intense renditions of the deepest, purest and even darkest of human emotions and how they manifest into the lives of average people, I strongly discourage watching Godzilla. Good day.
