Just to end the debate.....let's take a vote shall we? Rinnegan or not!

So King Hashirama believes that the current Juubi has a Sharingan with 6 tomoe, basically because its red. That would mean 2 Sharingan and 2 extra ripples that have no tomoe, I guess they are irrelevant to him....


I believe the Juubi has a Rinnegan with Sharingan tomoe, and that it is the progenitor of all Dōjutsu. Including the Rinnegan that we know. Meaning all eyes are derived from the Juubi's eye......that is my belief.


Now vote or discuss....or both I guess....

Only issue is that we don't know if the Sage of Six Paths had the Rinnegan before or after becoming the host. It is easily possible that it is, but I honestly cane give a positive answer to either side with any sense of certainty! It is easily arguable that it does come from the Juubi though!

Ill go with A though, Kishimoto is flawless, except when he makes little drawing errors, I mean the man works way too hard, he deserves a lot of slack!

In the past, I believed that the 9-tomoe was a sharingan because the anime showed it as being red. However, with the recent chapter showing the 6 tomoe, it seems clear that the eye itself is a combination of sharingan and Rinnegan. Even if the eye is red, it seems likely that this new eye is essentially a rinnegan with 6 tomoe, that had a different original color from the Rinnegna we know now.

How could the Juubi be the root of all Doujutsu, the SO6P also had Rinnegan. We're not sure what the Juubi actually had, we're about to find out though.
