Saying that the "Invasion of Konoha by Pein wouldn't have happened if Itachi were alive" is like saying the "Uchiha Clan Massacre wouldn't have happened if Madara was alive." What do you think? :shrug:

I was just thinking. People were starting to debate about whether the Konoha Invasion would've happened if Itachi were alive. I also though about how the Uchiha Clan Massacre wouldn't have happened if Madara was alive considering he's the Uchiha Clan Leader. So I'm basically putting the two points together.

lol people are demanding here honestly have an open mind. You are going with something. But Itachi's focus was on Sasuke. And I doubt he would have protected the village. Some unforeseen circumstances might stop him. But I see the point. But Madara would have killed his clan if he wanted to. He's an avenger to. He can basically whip out a bunch of pregnant women with his Uchiha bloodlines and basically re make the whole clan. And under his rule he can over power. But this brings a question can people who are resurrected from the impure world resurrection can reproduce? Wait what lol.

The invasion would have happened sooner or later, whether Itachi was alive or not.

Itachi stated clearly since the time he teamed up Sasuke to fight Kabuto, that he only had one main purpose in mind and that was to protect Konoha. Both of these subjects create a contrast. Itachi wants to save the village while Pein wants to destroy it. On the other hand you have another situation. Madara was the leader of the clan so I would highly doubt he would want to destroy the village which he founded himself including the people. Itachi killed every Uchiha in the village, I'd doubt he would've been able to commit such a disloyal act if Madara; the founder and leader of the clan was alive?

Well at the end Itachi considered himself Konoha's Itachi Uchiha so I would imagine he goes to help. The invasion would have occured either way...just whether Itachi would have come to aid or not.
