Why are you counting techniques as a power up? I didn't count Naruto's Rasenshuirken now did i?

And naruto had way more given power ups. Even with Sasuke's limted power ups, he still earned most of them. Meanwhile, naruto had his hand out and Kishi kept giving.

Noone is arguing naruto didn't have power ups but they both had about even power ups given imo sasuke had more bust lost some, both of them would be shit without power ups sasuke would be blind and naruto would only have sage mode none cares get over it and stop tapping you're being pathetic

You should have counted Rasenshuriken as that was a major power up for Naruto. They both earned all the power ups they were given.

Why? Because the author dictated that they did. Whether that was through a gift, training, (Time skip) or what have you is irrelevant as a power up is attaining a new skill, technique, or ability.

This fanbase is literally the only ones I know that consistently *****es about whether a power up is earned or "trained for"

With Sasuke's ocular prowess, he'd one shot Naruto if kishis didn't keep giving Naruto plausible upgrades to match Sasuke's. Nothing wrong with that.

That would make sense since Sasuke has been Naruto's obstacle since the beginning. What retarded author would make the MC decisively stronger than the rival using this plot.

Despite that they still received the same amount of power ups. Those being at different times and rather than amounts, you should realize it's more about the quality of the power ups.

Hebi Sasuke got a powerup via timeskip that literally left Naruto low-tier (not counting his fits of rage) until the pain arc. In which he jumped over Sasuke. Sasuke would later do this to Naruto and vice versa until the end chapters. In where they ended up stalemating due to the author being too much of a ***** to kill his characters.

Only difference between Naruto and Sasuke when it comes to power ups is that Naruto pretty much earned all of it bar RSM.

@ The people categorizing KCM, BM, and BSM as different power ups when in reality it's not. Kurama would be the only logical power up when talking about the chakra modes.

Agreed, KCM was earned through training and BM + BSM were obtained through cooperating and befriending Kurama
