Just Making Stuff Up

Hey Base! I'm going to make this thread as concise as I can. The question that I wish to bring up is, "How far did Kishi go until he started making stuff up?" It seems to me, as it might seem to others on NB, that there came a point in time where Kishi just decided that he's just going to make stuff up and not really stick to a solid outlined plot.

I think after Naruto defeated Pain, he started writing whatever sounded nice in his head.

If you agree that Kishi began free styling Naruto (without strict adherence to any plot) at one point, leave a comment below including where in the series you think he started to.

If you disagree with the idea that Kishi made things up and intended everything to plan out this way, leave a comment explaining why you think he has always remained dedicated to an original Naruto plot.

*Note: I am aware that Kishimoto has, in a sense, "made everything up" in Naruto. If you feel inclined to point that out, then please don't bother commenting*

I think he planned like a backbone and sprinkled some random stuff throughout.

Kishi knew what he was doing, but I'm sure he's being pushed to commercialize the series. Look at how crap the show got. Too much money on the stake, I guess. He can't really put legit effort into his life work

He probably had a general plot going and then added stuff to the mix... like he made a cake and improvised by adding sprinkles to it per say

He probably had a general plot going and then added stuff to the mix... like he made a cake and improvised by adding sprinkles to it per say

Its a fictional story. the whole damn thing is made up. now obviously he has been successful so he's put in a lot of work and time over these years. the story is unfolding from his head and he's had a plan he's going through the whole time.

he said the goggles naruto wore from the first manga were hard to draw so he switched it to a head protector. all the head protector emotional crap we read sometimes. if you want a bs start point. you could start with that.

Kishimoto actually puts a lot of thought and hard work into Naruto. You should watch a documentary, check youtube

Kishi made main part of the story in a manner, where you use what you wrote in the start, to keep a ton of possibilities for later to surprise the reader. Thus Kishi could have many possibilities for himself, in case he changed his mind about anything. Of course a few things were embedded for the case of a later scenario, but for instance Kishi had most likely not thought of the 9 beasts, when he thought of the 9-tailed beast. So later he thought: "Ah I can make more of these (introduction of Gaara)"
