It depends on how you look at it, does Sasuke care about creating relationship's with other people? If he doesn't and prefers to be alone, then I see no problem with it, not everyone want's 1 million friends, just 1 or 2 really close people is enough.

He's a jolly person, it's a part of his personality. He probably knows that Sarada must have realized he was lying and yet he still went on. Just to be casually funny. He is not making himself look good. He's just entertaining kids like an adult would.
