It's mainly because *** plays a huge role in young communities these days, that's why the appeal was so great.
Let's not mention how many people fangirl/fanboy over K-Pop and K-Drama.

I happen to hate Gangnam Style. Although I pretty much hate the majority of pop music anyway, along with all rap and hip hop.
