Just how much chakra did Jiraiya have?

I just re-read some old chapters and I noticed this:

I think I missed that part when I read through it at first.

Fukasaku states that the sage training can only work for those who have enormous amounts of chakra.

Just how much could Jiraiya have had and how come he has more chakra than an ordinary person?

It must be his clans secret bloodline, enormous amount of chakra.

What do you guys think?

Especially when he went into sage mode, his chakra was nearly limitless.
Even when he had his arm blown off, he was still able to fend off Pein and actually kill one of the bodies.
Also, Jiraiya doesn't have a last name, just as Orochimaru has no last name as well.
Tsunade doesn't have a confirmed last name, but you can assume that it's Harishmara [Or whatever] considering that her grandfather is the first.

Jiraiya's last name isnt revealed yet n for that I suggest u should have patients or atleast wait untill Pain retreats from Konoha and
Kishi might delve into Jiraiya's origins...idk bout u but i sure can't wait for that


Jiraiya indeed has a lot of chakra just like the rest of the Sanin, it may come from just being born to a strong clan...now what I truly have no idea. Im really more interested into finding out what clan Orochimaru belongs to...he was actually born looking like that

Hermit mode does supply a lot of chakra due to nature giving it to you, but in order to even consider training for Hermit mode you must have a vast amount of chakra not only that, you need excellent chakra control...sort of like medical ninja

it isn't a bloodline, it is his will to never give up and keep trying(just like naruto) that gives him his chakra, because chakra is converted from stamina, the more stamina you have the more chakra you have, this can be increased by working out, they have extremely tough staminas which give them that, in order to get good stamina you have to be gutsy and never give up, which lets you get extremely high chakras, naruto probebly will end up with more chakra than jiryah, cause i think naruto's not giving upness is probebly higher, but you get the point.

also really everyone of the sannin is kind of like the person they teach so it can be guessed that jiryah also has high chakra, cause tsunadi/sakura are alike, there abilites+personality are pretty much equal, orochimaru/sasuke well you know how arrogant and persistant those guys(or girl for orochimaru cause I think he took over a girls body for one of his body transfer technique).

Well if thats the case why doesnt Guy n Rock lee chakra stand out as one of the highest in the series. With all of bushy brows training he cant use chakra flow but his stamina is immense n he also isnt one to give up at any cost...therefore the amount of chakra one can have isnt from just working out at all. Its just like being a "genious", if u weren't born one, u won't become one. Its either ur born with large amount of chakra or not. There r some exceptions n one that i can easily point out is the Jinchuurikis. Such as Naruto or Gara

Its not a bloodline from a clan, unless youre suggesting kisame is related to jiraiya and naruto, considering kisame has the highest chakra in the series.

Neji pointed that out when 30% kisame turned up and neji said "Thats a disgusting amount of chakra, i havent seen this amount since naruto"

so...yeah...Kisame has a buttload, hence why i reckon he went through similar nature energy training but with sharks...

Well... if this were true, then we'd have to believe Naruto, the Yondaime, and Jiraya were all from the same clan. So believing that, would lead us to further theorize that Sage Mode was discovered and perfected by this clan.

No, you should read that chapter again.

Jiraiya was talking about Orochimarus parents, not his own. Jiraiya wasn't an orphan as a child, his parents probably died of old age.

It could be a possibility, we still don't know what clan Jiraiya is from.

naruto has the high chakra, cause his will to never give up forces him to continue drawing large amounts of chakra, even when he runs out pretty much, cause his stamina is so high.

also i would like to point out that lee and guy also have high chakra amounts, they just don't do ninjutsu, focusing only on taijutsu, for example when they into the heavenly gates form thingie, if it wasn't for their stamina they would like pretty much collapse in pain and would stop drawing chakra, but cause of there stamina they can actually use it, and can draw the same amount of chakra as one of the hokages.
