Just How Hashirama died? And Yamato keep fueling Madara?

The great mystery of NS so far: just how Hashirama died? The "God" of shinobi, capable of countering every Madara attack gave place to his (yet) younger brother. I've seen nothing of it in the storyline. Also, his death is never mentioned in a manner of avoiding replica atacks. Could Madara be in the shadow of his loss, and Konoha rulers restricted the info? Also, is Yamato keep fueling Madara, being the real reason for Madara to use Mokuton? Or - crazy idea - isn't Yamato a clone, but part of Hashirama that stood alive (yes, Hashirama really died as he was summoned with Edo Tensei) through the years (just like Orochimaru that uses the technique with body switch).

No... I mean, we al know there's a war going on; but still, Captain Yamato was part of team 7. As so, his absence should be noticed by the group, or Tsunade at least. Also, naruto would have him rescued quickly as long as he is in sage mode.

Using the gate of death would be a notable way to die that already would be mentioned in the story arc. His death remains secret.

I think Madara had Kurama sealed in himself for a short period of time and extracted it or something.. Could be that or something else. Nobody knows just yet.
