Well, I don't know what your college is like, but at mine the introductory level biology class is a weed-out course. What I mean by this is that it's intended to be very difficult in order to keep stupid people out of the biological sciences. Many people fail it. Your institution may be different.

My bio 1010 course wasn't bad for me because I had good biology teachers in high school. Basically, you should expect that they'll cover evolution, very basic chemistry, photosynthesis, respiration, cell structure, and basic genetics. As to what is covered in your lab, it could be anything, really.

I enjoyed my intro biology course, but I basically knew it all before I started. What kind of experience you have will depend largely on your own bio background and your specific institution.

Well I'm at a two year school thats focuses on getting people associates degrees and certificates. I'm using the school as a means to transfer and biology is the only science course they have that transfers to the state university I plan on attending. About 50% of the school is there to get a two year nursing degree. If nursing majors are a huge portion of the school, would that help you gauge what sort of biology I'd be having?

To the reader's knowledge, Rhaegar told the Kingsgaurd to protect her while he went off to battle Robert Baratheon. Presumably, he wanted them to keep her from going back to Robert or keep Robert's forces from taking her.

Try to find the vertex first.....:

~ ax^2+bx+c = 0
~ subtract c from both sides
~ ax^2+bx = -c
divide by a....
~ x^2 + (b/a)x = (-c/a)

now... divide the (b/a) by 2 and square it. (b/2a)^2
add this result to both sides.
~ x^2 + (b/a)x + (b/2a)^2= (-c/a)+(b/2a)^2

~Simplify....
~(x + (b/a))^2 = (-c/a)+(b/2a)^2

congratulations, you have completed the square!!
Solving now..... you can take the square root of both sides, and add/subtract the (b/a)
