The short answer is that the cartels are more powerful than the Mexican government.

The longer answer is that Mexico is a poor country without many resources. Because of their poor economy, many of the people turned to the drug trade. The illegal nature of the trade encouraged organized crime, hence the cartels. Also due to the weak economy, the government did not have the resources to prevent the initial rise of the cartels. As the cartels grew in power, they worked their way in to government and the police force by placing bribes, threats, and puppet officials in seats. Because the cartels became so integrated into the government, it has become near impossible for the remaining uncorrupted individuals to fight back with their limited resources and the threat of death over their heads and the heads of their families.

Your circadian rhythm has become aligned with your alarm schedule. Basically, your body has an internal clock that has been set to when you normally wake. If you were to randomly set your alarm an hour earlier or later, I'd guess you won't notice the same phenomena.

I think it's a good thing that they have the freedom to vote for their independence, and I fully support the move if the majority of the Scots desire it.

Having my destiny chosen for me would imply that there is a higher power to choose it. I don't believe in any sort of higher power.

Ah, I get it. You cannot feel radio waves; they have no mass. More likely, your phone is making a noise before it connects the call. This would be especially noticeable if your phone is anywhere near some sort of speaker from which the pulsation of the radio signal can be transmitted as an audio signal to said speaker. Read more

I think it's very likely that the earlier Sailor Moon character influenced the other. However, upon casual inspection I couldn't find any hard evidence to preclude the possibility of a coincidental similarity.

I am not currently watching any other anime. I started reading Bleach a while ago, but I haven't for sometime as I've been too busy with school.
