That depends on your definition of "civilization", but the Sumerians of Mesopotamia are considered to be the oldest civilization by many.

That depends on your definition of book. The oldest known conventional book (like a thing with pages and binding) is the Gutenburg Bible printed ~1450. However, if you are more liberal with what you consider to be a book, there are many other older candidates. Read for more.

The oldest confirmed human remains are 200,000 years old. However, there is a somewhat controversial finding of human teeth that are .

Many ancient civilizations were adept at astronomy because they had to be. The stars were their only guide to the time and date upon which their agriculture depended. Maintaining your crop yields by knowing when to plant and harvest so that you don't starve is a good incentive to keep track of the date.

What's your favorite sandwich from Subway?

I rarely eat at Subway, but if I typically get a spicy Italian when I do.

They become old cars that are never purchased. In reality, I don't think that happens. I think that over time they lower the cost until it's too good for someone to resist.

Well, the fact that this is a reliable place to get both the manga and the anime was one reason. I also like the community here. Finally, my original questions thread was the primary thing that kept me coming back.

what would be an ideal place to hide a body starting from your house?

Well, I would rather dispose of than hide a body, but since you said "hide", we'll go with that. This means we will look for places to store the body in which it will be hidden but not degraded. The best place on your property is probably the basement in which you could refinish the flooring and lay it into the cement. Moving off your property, the best place in town would be a building that is currently being constructed in which you could essentially do the same thing by burying the body underneath where they will lay the foundation. If you go outside of town, the best place would be out in the wilderness in a spot that is not easily accessible, is not prone to erosion, and has some sort of permanent landmark that you can use to identify the location. Again, bury it.

Are there any microbes better than adapting than extremophiles?

Your understanding of things is a little bit off. Extremophiles aren't necessarily better at adapting to different conditions than any other group of microbes. They just happen to tolerate certain conditions that most life doesn't. For instance, a thermophilic bacteria like Thermus aquaticus may be really well suited to high temperatures, but that doesn't mean it's better at adapting to another condition, like high saline concentration, than another bacterial species would be. Furthermore, many extremophiles are not well suited for what we consider to be normal conditions.

What would you do if someone fed you human meat and didn't tell you what it was until after you ate it?
