Just caught up with Overlord, I must say...

It's not a bad anime for something that is pretty identical to SAO or supposedly from what I'm hearing Log Horizon, which I am yet to watch as well.

The protagonist and the main cast are overpowered as hell, which I like a lot, but to an extent because it seems boring that Ains is winning every goddamn battle.

Personally I still want to know the story of how he got trapped in the game. Because for SAO that was the whole point was to get out, but for Overlord he now wants to rule the entire world instead of get out.

I just caught up as well and I love it so far. I just really hope it doesn't end at 12 episodes.

I don't care so much about the MC being overpowered. I mean the anime just started, as long as he sees some legit danger before the anime ends I will be happy.

The only thing I've read is all the chapters to Naruto. I'd rather like watching than reading, but to answer your question no.

Fair enough but just don't hope on a season 2 too much. I don't know how the Overlord LN's are doing in sales thanks to the anime or how the DVD/Blu-ray sales are of the anime but getting another season is going to be tough.

Don't get me wrong I didn't mean Naruto is the only thing I've read. I've read tons of books, but I don't get the same happy feeling reading than I do watching.

It's like Mohouka or SAO, or even Nanatsu No Taizai that I just finished watching that have good anime but the light novels aren't all the way in or finished, plus seeing another season is hard.

Actually the light novel is selling like hot cakes because the anime is so good.

OT: I love overlord and I'll be reading the LN once I finish To aru majutsu no index :sdo2:

Also don't expect for a second season because madhouse never makes them. This anime was just to promote the LN so if you want to continue, read the LN.

Overlord is great. I began to read the manga then the LN after the anime though I dont know if it'll cover most of the LN
