It could happen, but that's unlikely. I think she is gonna lock him up like Wan did.

Also, what would happen with new generations Avatars if Korra absorb Vaatu? The cycle started with Wan uniting with Raava, spirit of peace and light. Would be nice to see what would happened with Avatars if they join the dark spirits.
