Kishimoto said through Kakashi during his fight agaist Kakazu that the next generation will always surpass the previous one. It's one of those never-ending cycles in life.
Is it really true.Have we really surpassed the previous generations of ours......
Means have we really surpassed the era of Great Discoverers like Einstien,or can we say that today's musicians are better than the Beatles and Led Zeppalin or Mike Tyson's punches are more lethal than Muhammad Ali's.....
The Quote was good at listening but is it practically viable....

I think the context in which kishi was talking through kakashi was strictly for naruto verse. We may get smarter and surpase the previous generation that way but there were so many great discoveries before our generation that it will be hard for us to surpass them in that respect

Sadly no. The new generations make the same mistakes the previous ones did. People never learn.

People never change. For example I will keep telling you that people never change. ( House ftw :p )

we have in a way.

BUT

instead of having 2/3 people amazing at something we have 2000/3000.
so yeah you could say we have surpassed in the sense that we are becoming 'naturally' better.

EG, Guitar - Only a few could actually play amazing. Now, thousands are amazing.

(its almost like the 'surpassing' is done in numbers and not by a few)
