Just a theory...

I know there were probably threads made about this before, but I thought I'd put forth my own theory. Not to mention, I didn't see anyone mention this before. Oh, and if you do not read the manga, then do not read this. It would be a spoiler for you.


For Izanami, I think there have to be two Uchiha's for it to be used (Itachi & Sasuke.)

The reason why I think that is because in the chapter Itachi told Sasuke to stay close to him.

The thing is, even though we don't know what it does yet, if it forms a pair with Izanagi, then it could be dangerous. I think it makes sense that he needs Sasuke with him, otherwise he would have told Sasuke to stay back. We know Itachi cares about Sasuke, so he wouldn't want him dying

Another reason I think it is because he said that it was already prepared.

We're not sure what the preparations or requirements are for it to be used, but we haven't seen much preparation being done, so that's another reason why I think Sasuke is needed for Itachi to perform Izanami.

In last weeks manga, Kabuto said they were completely unprepared, and then we saw somewhat of a scene where Itachi and Sasuke worked together to capture without taking life.

This is another reason why I think Sasuke is needed for Itachi to perform Izanami, and a possible reason why we haven't seen Danzo nor Tobi use it yet. If Izanami is the real strength of the Uchiha,

you'd think Danzo or Tobi would have used it instead of Izanagi. And, to show the real strength of the Uchiha, I think it would make more sense for it to require 2 people with Sharingan, cause then it would be the Uchiha Brothers showing the real strength, not just Itachi.

I'm sorry if It's too long... I didn't mean for it to be long. And I didn't see a theory like this out there before. Oh, and I'm sorry if it's in the wrong section. I don't make much threads like this. I know it might be unlikely, but it's a thought... I don't want this to turn into a flame thread, so try to keep it peaceful?

I know there were already some Izanami threads. And thanks for rep. I usually don't make threads related to Naruto like this because I know people got angry, but I thought I'd share my theory anyway. xD At least I'm not one of those people that think Itachi is almost unbeatable because of Izanami.

I think it requires and actual uchiha, I believe Tobi isn't an Uchiha so he can't use it and Danzo wasn't either. Just my thoughts.

That is a good point. I don't think he expected Sasuke to enter the battle since he didn't want Sasuke to follow him? +rep for pointing that out. I really hope we get a good explanation for Izanami in the future. xd
