It was Ichigo's quincy power in the form of juha bach pretending to be his shinigami powers. Now the real questios are how awesome is gonna be the real Zangetsu and why tf did the fake one is in juha bach's form

Yes, and it wasnt even Shinigami powers, it was Quincy powers

I dont think it was stated the Getsuga Tenshou was Zangetsu's power, but if so, then Kubo gave us another Plot Hole.

But still though Ichigo did learn final Getsuga from Zangetsu

Wait, no it wasn't zangetsus power remember when he was fighting grimmjow for the first time he said, he had gotten this the black getsuga tenshou from the hollow because the hollow within him was the first to use it against byakuya! So maybe just maybe our boy ichigo learned getsuga tenshou from the hollow not zangetsu and also the hollow and zangetsu fused together to fight ichigo when he was learning the final getsuga so techniqually he accquired not from zangetsu but from that fusion

From stream translation it says Zangetsu is Ichigo's quincy powers but the mystry of why zangetsu is a younger version of Juha is still not solvable at this state. My guess is that Since all quincy have Juha's blood Zangetsu was able to awakern as Juha... but I wonder why Ichigo's real zanpaktou has been a jerk all this time...

To help clear any confusion

Old man is the manifestation of Ichigo's QUINCY powers

Shirosaki is the manifestation of his SHINIGAMI and HOLLOW powers

The reason why Zangetsu looks like Bach is because since he's the king of quincies, Ichigo's Quincy power took the form of their Creator. I think...


So when Shirosaki and Zangetsu merged for FGT, Ichigo combined all three of his powers, which made him so powerful.

(Which also means we have yet to see his real shinigami powers XD)


Correct me if I'm wrong, but hope this helps

EDIT: Another thing to note is that his blue reiatsu was his quincy reiatsu XD. The black and red is his real reiatsu

Filler is filler. They don't know where going with the story so you can't expect them to be exact. Filler is not canon/

I get your point and that is very plausable, now what puzzles me is that If that's not zangetsu than where is he?(that masked asauchi)? Or maybe zangetsu doesn't belong to Ichigo... or what Nimaya meant is that Ichigo didn't have a zanpaktou all allong he's been only using his quincy and hollow powers and now he's about to add his shiningami abilities???

I think the zanpakuto that is being forged right now is zangetsu. With Ichigo's hollow and shinigami powers. I understand what you mean by Ichigo not having any zanpakuto all along because the one he was using was a fake. I guess we'll have to wait but I'm pretty confident I got the first part right. Zangetsu is iconic, Kubo won't drop it. But I guess Ichigo does deserve new attacks so that's why Kubo is doing all that. Anyway, I think it's awesome, Kubo is amazing
