The Juubi was said to always been there, long before even Rikudou's time. If all the Juubi did was focus on destrution and havoc, then there would be no more naruto verse left to live on.

I think the Juubi must have had a conscious and later the human's must have done something to anger the Juubi causing havoc until Rikudou shows up and stops it

I agree with that and i think that while the first is fighting Madara, Naruto is going to try to talk to the juubi

dude how do you say the juubi is not conscious the juubi saw the tailed beasts in naruto that means it is consious and alive and the tailed beasts are like his soal and rikudo cut it into 9 beasts
