Jounin Exams?

we know about how chuunin exams works..but anybody know how to be jounin..?does it depend on the succes of your missions?,or will there be a fight like chuunin exams? or does the hokage appoint/promote who will be the jounins?

There are no jonin exams if I recall correctly. Apparently, it depends solely on one's own individual skills and prowess. Eventually, I believe, you are simply recognized as Jonin. There are, however, special cases such as Ibiki and a few others who are special jonin because they possess an unique ability or other. In Ibiki's case, it is his ability to extract information through interrogation. I've always assumed you become a jonin once you are powerful enough to be set apart from your peers and earn a nickname, or are known (and often feared) outside your own village.T
