An ambiguous answer coming from a TV show is almost the same as saying he's not dead. So if they want it to be a shock, they have to lie.

i think jon will come back as he may be too important for the story to not come back...he might be azor ahai(the warrior of light) of the prophecy.....even if the show decides to not have him come back i think he will come back in the books

but still melisandre burned shireen so...only life can pay for life...would make sense if jon was ressurected

Agree he is Azor Ahai, I also believe that R+L=J is true. He is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark which means he is Ice and Fire combined.

him being son from lyanna and rhaegar means he has targaryen blood(which is basically what azor ahai needs to be in order to qualify) and lyanna is ice,rhaegar is fire...so his is the song of ice and fire

-he also had that dream where he holds a flaming sword which could be a symbol for lightbringer
-if melissandre ressurects him he will be azor ahai reborn
-there was smoke coming from his wounds
-bowen marsh cried those SALTY tears
-blood pattern is described as looking like a star(bleeding star)

all in all a lot of hints indicate he just might be it,as the elements of the prophecy include rebirth,smoke,salt,bleeding star,flaming sword etc.

the only problem is that daenerys matches to all that as well

but i still have a feeling it`s jon....the prince that was promised,his is the song of ice and fire....it all seems as it was meant to be that ice and fire joined in order to bring about the promised prince(R+L)

After finally seeing the finale. I support the whitewalkers. They are the true Rulers of Westros and its seven kingdoms. Fck everyone else.

There are sadly not that many hints in the show compared to the books (not even close) but as far as I know, there will be flashbacks from Roberts rebellion in Season 6. They'd be awfully useless if Jon stays dead though. Same with his heritage.

Just think about it, most people think about the smoke, salt and bleeding star part of the AA prophecy. And almost everyone thinks about some kinda rebirth. But let's be real, all of that was present at his birth. Smoke from the fires in the war, salt from the tears of Eddard and or Lyanna and a dead and bleeding Arthur Dayne, who's familys symbol is a sword and a star. So yeah, he was basically a bleeding star.

About the show, watch Season 2 Episode 10, the scene with Dannys vision. She goes near the iron throne and reaches out to grab a sword. We can even see the swords hilt up close in one scene. It is Longclaw covered in snow. So yeah, at least the show has got that going for my boy Jon.

what if the crows throw Jon over the wall and The Night's King converts him and Jon somehow becomes the Nights king?? also there is a theory that the wall was built around a dragon(s)....when the the walkers take over the wall what if they break and the dragon comes out and either they convert him or he might already converted and Jon rides it to fight Danny??? Targaryen vs Targaryen.....
