Kenjutsu is the use of techniques that focus on the sword. Generally used by Samurai but also used by shinobi in the narutoverse. Kenjutsu can be combined with other abilities such as Tai, Gen, Nin, and chakra. Basically all in all its the use of swordplay. In Narutoverse the Samurai of "The Land of Iron" are the mass majority of Kenjutsu users and the Seven Swordman of the Hidden Mist are also well known for their abilities in the art of swordplay. Kenjutsu is the art of the Sword.

That last sentence says it all. Excellent ^_^

The universal truth is that Kenjutsu is the art of the sword. If you do not respect the blade, you are not fit to wield one.

Now, do you think you've had enough practice with swords to know which type you prefer to use? (Long Sword, Katana, Nodochi, etc.) Or are you relatively new to this?

Im really new to this but I like using a Katana more. ^_^
Apologies for my lateness, I didn't forget about you xd
To you however I am particularly sorry though, as you were one of my former students and saw me as an amateur teacher. My apologies.

And good, but it's ok. This training is pretty universal and will cover pretty much everything. However different swords do have a different impact on how you fight in the future.

But anyways, do you think you could explain to me the differences between a one handed, and a two handed slash?

Its okay Jacob and its werid saying your name after I read the book Reckless since the main person was Jacob. xd

A One-Handed Slash is different in that it carries less force behind it, and as a result isn't as powerful or fast as a Two-Handed Slash, however it allows for more maneuverability, and is easier to chain attacks after. A Two-Handed Slash carries more power behind it and is therefore more powerful and faster, but it is harder to follow up and offers you less maneuverability than a One-Handed Slash.

*Brings out my custom swords*
Name: (Tsuki to taiyō no burēdo) The Moon and Sun Blades
Rank: A
Type: Atk/Def/Suppl
Range: Short
Chakra Cost N/A (20 for adding Suiton and 20 for adding Katon)
Damage Cost: N/A (15 When adding chakra)
Description: The Moon and Sun Blades are twin blades one is white and one is black. These swords were created by Johninto Takashi. When the user is holding the moon sword he can add his suiton chakra into the blade making covered in water and able to reach longer by 3 more feet. When the user is holding the Sun sword he can add his katon chakra into the blade cover the blade in fire and causing the sword's range to be increased by 3 more feet. The user can use both swords at once but can only put one chakra nature in one sword at once.
Note: Can only be used by Johninto Takashi
Note: Only one nature chakra can be used if user is holding both swords.
Note: If added Suiton or Katon chakra it only last 3 turns and must wait 1 turn to infuse more chakra.

xd Good

Did you copy/paste that description from my other training sessions? o_o

Now do you think you've h ad enough experience with sword to know which type you prefer to use? Katana, Longsword, Nodochi, etc? It's ok if you haven't since this training is pretty universal, but you should know that different swords will have a different impact on how you will fight in the future.

No.... o.o and I dint have any expierence xd
Sorry for the delay, truly
>_>

And I asked because that's exactly how I say it xd Well done my pupil U_U

Well the fact that you have no experience is fine, since this training is pretty universal, it doesn't really matter at the time being. However, in the future, you should know that different swords will have a different impact on the way you fight in the future.

*Throws you a bokken*

So now that we've discussed that, lets get on to the motions. Begin by performing a One-Handed Horizontal Slash on the training dummy. (___ <---This is what Horizontal looks like, from right to left; left to right.)

*I catch the bokken and walk over to the training dummy. I grip the sword wioth one hand and start hitting the dummy with a one handed horizantal slash. I do the slash from left to right. I keep practing my slashes from left to right and right to left only using one hand.*

Keotsu o_o

Anyways, good, now onto a One-Handed Vertical Slash. A Vertical slash goes from up to down.

Stabbing is the act in where you get a sword and thrust it into your opponent. It is important since you make deep and fatal wounds where they would need immediate help since the wound is deep. Black People use this alot xd Im black so I had to say it xd

xd

Alright, well basically you go the gist of it, a stab is fast, and does not necessarily cause much damage, however if you strike he righ tplace, you can deal a fatal blow to an enemy.

Now, since earlier we distinguished the difference between a One Handed and Two Handed Slash, I'd like for you to do a Two Handed Horizontal Slash on the dummy.

No I teach un-augmented Kenjutsu, no Jutsu.

And why are you stabbing at his legs, and how? o-o Also, why all those extra things? I told you merely to demonstrate a stab.
