i posted a theory a while back about how itachi might've been framed for the murder of the uchiha. basically the real people that were responsible were danzou and madara. i was thinking that it would be a cool twist if madara and danzou actually kill the uchiha's because they were their biggest threat in their eventual plan to attack kohona. itachi knew of their plans and caught them in the act of the slaughter and drove him off. they left, sasuke walked in and saw itachi standing over his parents with a bloody sword. itachi couldn't report the truth to hokage because danzou would have root go after him so he hoped sasuke would grow up to avenge the uchia and gave sasuke someone to hate so he'd go up strong, with a purpose and someone sasuke could gauge his strength by. we all know itachi was defending kohona and protecting sasuke the whole time. but could itachi and kisame really stop the rest of akatsuki from attacking kohona if they really wanted to? maybe itachi had the some knowledge that kept them back. maybe he pasted that knowledge on to sasuke when he touched his forehead. maybe that knowledge is the conspiracy by danzou and madara to take kohona.
this is why i wonder if itachi might've also inserted some knowledge in sasuke along with some of his abilities. maybe the madness sasuke was going through while listening to tobi's story was because it conflicted with the knowledge that itachi implanted.
in the newest manga sasuke says he wants to kill everyone in kohona. but look who he's talking to, tobi... sasuke also said hawk was using the akatsuki. so why would itachi open up to tobi like that? was he really opening up or was sasuke telling tobi what he thought tobi wanted to hear? was that flash of his MS preparing for another amat? there was a part where they showed sasuke gripping the chair tightly, as if he's experiencing some inner turmoil (when isn't he...) of course he was talking about his love for itachi and maybe he was having a hard time controlling himself because he wanted to lash out at tobi/madara? madara being the one that wiped out his family according to the knowledge that itachi supposedly implanted.
this is all one GIGANTIC MAYBE but i thought it was interesting to consider. i'm not expecting anyone to jump on board with this, i'm not even sold on it. just thought it might make for an interesting read. and yeah, i still hold out hope that sasuke will come back to the good side.
