That's because we can assume that it can happen.

Just like how we know that hiding like a mole can go deeper than the surface of the ground. Obviously Jirobo can't burrow through the earth's crust. But that doesn't mean he can go deeper than like 3 feet beneath the surface.

We have no reason to assume that something magically stops you from digging through the ground at 3 feet beneath the surface just because it helps your argument here.
