Both have an exceptional amount of chakara . But in this case if kisame absorbs Jiriya's sage chakara he will turn into a frog. But this will only happen jiriya is in sage mode. But if jiriya is in sage mode it would render samehada useless. So Samehada is possibly out of the picture.

But just because samehada is out of picture. Kisame is still an excellent shinobi with or without samehada. But jiriya cannot enter SM instantly like naruto but if he does he has the help of maa and paa who are excellent in sesning and are frogs so im assuming they are more comfortable with water so is jiriya. Any way what do you think ?

I gotta go with Jiraya for the win when(if) he gets into sage mode
otherwise a very close fight which I might have to go with Kisame with if he fought the same way as he did against killer bee in the forest

Didn't Kisame Already Say Jiraiya Is out of his League when He was Talking to itachi about him Guarding Naruto.? (i Cba to look that far back in the manga xd)

Anyways if Jiraiya summons him inside that Toad like he did when defending Naruto i doubt kisame could escape it.

The stone toad is a real problem for Kisame, though.

Jiraiya we all know is incredible powerful okay, here is reasons for him winning in SM.

Samehada is rendered useless, He can use Oodoma Rasengan, Swamp, Goemon, Sage Art and Genjutsu to defeat Kisame, i don't see jiraiya having any problems with kisame if he is in SM, since jiraiya and ma and pa can summon tons of toads th three giant boss toads and more.

Without SM jiraiya still takes this, he is capable of summoning Gamaken and Gamabunta, also Swamp of the underworld would be a big problem, his fire release is no problem for a water user. Well jiraiya also got Rasengan and his hair jutsu.

Id say Jiraiya SM > Kisame (mid diff)
Jiraiya without SM > Kisame (high diff)

I think people are forgetting that Jiraiya travelled to Amegakure underwater, and that he is probably as comfortable underwater as Kisame is.. after all he is a Toad Sage

I just don't see Kisame defeating Jiraiya....

It seriously need to be greatly in Kisame's favor for him to win, thought it still be extremely tough for kisame even with enourmous advantage.

toughie your right he would probably have to have them all in the water dome to start with.

i can not come up with a good enough argument for kisame but i reckon kisame can handle the summons with his uber mobbile sharks
