[Theory] Jiren Will Win the Tournament of Power

As of this moment, I believe that Jiren will win the tournament of power. Why? Well, there are two main reasons.

Power:

The first and most convincing argument is Jiren's overwhelming power and speed. He was dodging and blocking strikes from SSJ Blue x20 Goku. A Goku multiplying the power of SSB Blue by 20 was stated to be incomparable to Jiren. Essentially, Jiren was toying with Goku. Even after Goku achieved his new limit breaker/ultra instinct form, Jiren has yet to show his full power. Jiren is the first warrior in Dragon Ball history to ever be able to successfully push back the Spirit Bomb on Goku (against a SSB x20 Goku, while Jiren was using just his glare). Jiren has an "unimaginably colossal Ki", which was said to be shaking the entire world of void (a literally infinite expanse of space). And, finally, it's been officially confirmed on the Toei Animation website that Jiren is at the level of a God of Destruction (

), by both Toei and Whis who confirms that he's the mortal that not even a God of Destruction could beat. As of this moment, Jiren's overwhelming power makes him a strong contender for the person to defeat every other participant in the Tournament of Power.​

Ideals:

Belmod, the God of Destruction of Universe 11, is said to be a more 'benevolent' GoD than others like Beerus. He loathes the idea of evil within his universe, and is prone to destroying only evil planets. (

). Additionally, Belmod himself has picked the leader of the Pride Troopers to be his successor (Toppo). Since Jiren is the strongest being in Universe 11, it can only be assumed that he did not wish to hold the position of God of Destruction. This leads me to the conclusion that Jiren doesn't enjoy destrction, nor is he a cruel being. I believe that he's as Master Roshi described, a Martial Artist hoping to use the tournament/his fight with Goku to get stronger. Essentially, I believe that if Jiren is victorious, he'd use the Super Dragonballs to restore the other destroyed universes. Another reason for this was when Belmod yelled for Jiren to win the super dragonballs and to make his wish. What other kind of wish would a benevolent God of Destruction support?​

So, I think Jiren will win and restore the other universes. Then, I think Goku and him will fight again at some later date or in a future arc. Perhaps after Goku has gained full mastery of his Ultra Instinct form. Another idea that I've seen tossed around is that the Tournament of Power will be interrupted with a coup instigated by the Grand Priest. How do you guys think the Tournament of Power will end?

Well, to be fair, people were saying there is no way Vegito would lose to Zamasu, and that he would be defeated by Goku. I don't think it's a stretch to show a powerful character winning. After all, Goku wasn't able to defeat Vegeta when they first met.

True but Vegito was beating Zamasu and was about to deliver the finishing blow until time ran out. Manga wise Goku somewhat did beat Zamasu until he did what he did in the anime and then Zeno defeated him. True but for some reason Vegeta be talking like Goku beat him lol.

That's what i'm saying lol. I know he wasn't but that was because Gohan was gonna be the MC but instead they brung Goku back.

See this is exactly why after this fight I'm just done with DBS... or at least the anime's portrayal of these arcs (as the manga is far superior in my opinion). The fight itself was badass but it things became so extremely out of control and Jiren has proven to be retardedly OP that this fight effectively has broken the show itself.

First Jiren was confirmed to be more powerful than the Gods of Destruction. So that bit of info automatically meant that logically Jiren>every fighter in the tournament neg dif. Then Goku went Kiaoken Blue x20 and Jiren still was throwing Goku around like a Raggedy Ann doll, so with that it was then solidified that Jiren>every fighter in the tournament neg dif. BUT then SOMEHOW Goku pulls this new mode out of his ass and its implied that Goku in this new form is on par with Jiren in power. Which means that Goku>every fighter in the tournament + every God of Destruction. And if you follow that logic, that means that (assuming Goku keeps this new form) Goku and Jiren are effectively placed below only the Omni King in terms of power which means that all tension in any future arc is automatically defused or is otherwise BS as Goku has become the Naruto Jesus of DBS. And if Goku DOESN'T keep this new form, then it's equally as retarded because then Goku pulled this OP form out of his ass for nothing. The power scales were already made into a complete joke during the recruitment stage when every character under the sun were going toe-to-toe with Goku in Blue form but this is some next level stupid.

I think Goku will beat Jiren, especially with his new transformation that's putting work on Jiren in the preview, but I feel like it would cost goku the stamina and he won't be able to become super saiyan blue for the rest of the tournament.

I notice that Jiren is unable to destroy the spirit bomb just like the rest of Goku's opponents.

Fair enough, I'll admit I misunderstood that. But I think it's still fair to say Jiren could smash all Gods of Destruction, considering all the Gods of Destruction were shaking at the sight of Gokus new form.

I noticed that too, what if Hit actually beats Jiren? & it's actually Ultra Instinct Goku vs Hit who after defeating Jiren his adaptive improvement put him on par with Goku


There was some tease of a new warrior appearing near the end of the tournament and it looked like what could be a new form for Hit


We'll see, Id like it if Jiren wasn't final boss though.

Yeah when Goku asked Whis what he thought their chances of winning were in the recruitement episodes. But like op said he's probably stronger than any or maybe most GoDs. Specifically the ones in the tournament, the elite 4 seemed didn't seem too bothered. They did by Ultra Instinct thlugh

I don't think his heart is pure, because absolute justice can also lack pure-heartedness morale but he's not evil either.
So I guess his best bet could be to just push it back like kid buu was doing to base goku during the end of the buu saga.

goku will wn. he is only in the base of his new power "self movement" and we all know. once goku get to use his power once he will do it again or die trying because he is that type of guy.

as i mention. he is in his base. he will learn how to activate it more effectively or even be able to use self movement while in super saiyan.
