Kishimoto is very known for his plot-twists. That's why that possibility came to my mind.

Hey Jiraiya can be revived. Everyone seems to have forgotten Kabuto's & Obito's conversation. Obito has Pain's weapons. With them it has Jiraiya DNA on them which Kabuto stated. Just like Obito has Danzo crushed Shisui eye which Kabuto mentioned in the same conversation that with the crushed eye & Pain's weapons, Kabuto could bring back Jiraiya & Shisui... So really Obito has that trick up his sleeve now he knows how to perform Edo Tensei he could bring back both them guys.

However Jiraiya in my opinion had the best death ending one could hope for, I'd hate to see him get brought back through Edo Tensei, However I know Kishi 'could' come up with some sick way to bring Jiraiya back without ruining it has such if he decided to but in my personal opinion I doubt Kishi would do that & I'm glad he wouldn't either.

What weapon?? Jiraiya died with them stuck to his body even as he drifted down to the bottom of the ocean..Jiraiya should be left to rest in peace..His revival would ruin it

The possibility is definitely there. It wouldn't surprise me if he had never died. If he revives Jiraiya in the year, month and hour of the snake then this would show careful planning by Kishimoto.

Most of the people of the alliance have had enough of edo tensei. They want the dead to rest in peace so they would not use it. Orochimaru would but I don't think Kishi would ruin Juraiya's death like that. His death had meaning and that would be lost if he brought him back. Like Asuma's death help his team to grow, Juraiya's death helped Naruto to grow. I hope Kishi won't waste that.
