After his battle with Jiraiya, Nagato used Tendo Pain’s ‘Universal Pull’ ability to retrieve his late Sensei from the watery depths below. Afterwards, he used the Animal Pain to place a summoning seal on his corpse. When Pain invaded Konoha, he used the Animal Pain to summon all of the Paths Of Pain along with Jiraiya’s corpse inside of the village. Later when Nagato decided to use the Rinne-Tensei, Jiraiya was revived because his corpse was the debris of what used to be Konoha. How did you miss that @OP?
