The receivers are different. You cannot trace or sense the chakra being sent to them unless you get pierced by them. That is why Naruto had to stab himself with the rod even though he was in Sage Mode, in order to find Nagato's location.

no your wrong... the right thing to say is: naruto surpassed jiraya in using sage mod ( he doesnt look much like a frog jiraya looked and also he can get into it much quickly now) but jiraya can use it better in battle

Use your eyes and your head together, if you can that is. Naruto could only sense Nagato after he stabbed his leg with the rod. He could sense the whole village just fine.

It was Nagato's defense against all sensor types. What good is a hiding place if people can sense your presence? No one can sense Nagato's presence without being pierced by the rod.

I'll give you an example. when itachi was fighting sasuke black zetsu(madara's knowledge) said that with totsuka sword and yata mirror itachi is invincible. So indirectly kishi said that. Does that mean itachi is really invincible??? You know darn well that there are people who can beat itachi....similarly for naruto, if manga says that he has surpassed someone doesn't necessarily mean he actually has surpassed someone. Yes, naruto has perfected SM no doubt, but jiraiya's SM is stronger and can own SM naruto.

naruto sage mode better than jiraiya, but the fact still remains that jiraiya was more proficient in using sm mode than naruto, jiraiya's a boss. just like two uchihas having sharingan, definitely, one would be better than thr other in the use of this sharingan.

The strongest thing we have seen from sage mode and the frogs is the frog song. The frogs being allowed to prepare that jutsu while Jiraiya can still move around and fight on his own is such a huge advantage. We saw what happened when the frogs are left to fight on their own, they get owned.
