This poem is by one of my friends. Hope you enjoy it
I know I somehow forget
How the heavens had you set
I had found you, lonely soul
To care for you was my goal
Oh you had such potential
Your eyes were a credential
I had trained you to be strong
To lay your strength far from wrong
Your progress was so heady
As I thought you were ready
I then let you go out there
Righteousness you were to bear
My years have passed without you
Worthy people gleamed like dew
One was under my care
To hunt him, a clique would dare
These hunters, I had sought out
They were strong, without a doubt
I had pursued their leader
But my sources were meager
I opted to seek their base
Oh my stealth was of an ace
Still one of them had sensed me
He was your epitome!
So it was you, my student
You have become decadent
What happened to my scholar?
What evil dragged you this far?
Now we battle, dear pupil
But light, I see in you still
Will you still heed your sensei?
Or will you squander his neigh?
I know I somehow forget
How the heavens had you set
I had found you, lonely soul
To care for you was my goal
Oh you had such potential
Your eyes were a credential
I had trained you to be strong
To lay your strength far from wrong
Your progress was so heady
As I thought you were ready
