He knows about puppet techniques (like any shinobi), but you cant really tell how much experience hes got about them. Base Jiraiya would get destroyed by Iron Sand, even for SM it wouldnt be easy. It all depends if he will manage to enter SM, which in his case takes a lot of time.

sasori has no chance.jiraya in sm can sense the attack and with his super speed dodge it. And with his high ninjetsu he will crush sasori:nexus:

Jiraiyas SM is imperfect and he doesnt have sensor abilities like Naruto.
