From what we all know, Sarutobi could handle the first hokage and second hokage, while fighting Orochimaru. That's beyond crazy. Even when Sarutobi was weaker than in he was in his prime, he was EXTREMELY powerful. Jiraiya's prime was shown during the battle with all 6 paths of pein. definitely durable.
