Jiraiya wins with medium difficulty if he starts in sage mode.

Jiraya for all 3.

Jiraya has that barrier jutsu which detects movement, so invisibility isn't a problem.

Sage sensing quickly detects mu the second he appears.

Bunta will be great for elevation and long range attacks for attacking Mu.

Shadow clones help here too.

There's a lot of jiraya could do.

Mu is most certainly on Jiraiya's level, but Jiraiya is Mu's worst nightmare. Barrier/sensing abilities to counter invisibility. Superior CQC. Speed/shunshin to avoid jinton.

Jiraiya takes it pretty easily in each scenario.

Jiraiya is to Mu what Gai is to Kisame, just about.

Jiraiaya wins every scenario. He counters invisibility with his barrier technique, and his combinations with his toads will eventually overwhelm Mu.

Assuming Jiraiya is starting at base. Mu takes this med-high diff. I don't see why people seem to think barrier could pose a threat to Mu, after all Mu can sense the barrier and fly outside of it while spamming Jinton from long range to kill any summon Jiraiya brings in to this fight. Even if Jiraiya were to enter SM, he will still die. He has decent reflexes but not enough. Pein was able to take his arm easily, Jinton is quite fast and deadly.

As long as Mu keeps flying and spamming Jinton, Jiraiya can't get near him.
