Does Jiraiya start off in sage mode? If he does then Kisame will turn into a frog because Kisame always absorbs the other's chakra so it will be similar to Naruto VS Preta Path.

Kisame - You could somehow win, but I couldn't stand up to such an opponent for more than a couple of minutes... It's on a completely different level.
Itachi - Ah... Either (we) both (he says both/two, meaning him and Kisame) would die, or it would be a draw... The result wouldn't change even if we increased our numbers.
Kisame - It was good that we found him at the ramen shop... And he has one of the Legendary Sannin as a lucky charm. That guy (Jiraiya) might be a fair match for the strongest Uchiha from Konoha and the Mist's strongest swordsman.
Itachi - Hmm, even so... It's said that every strong man has a weakness...

by the sounds of it, kisame thinks jiraiya could take on both him and itachi. kisame alone will have a tough time indeed. i think jriaiya said his weakness is suiton since it cancels his oil and fire techs.

False. Kisame and Itachi were talking about the nine tails in that scan. I see you spouting this everywhere even though it's false. I challenge you to find the real translation and meaning of that scan.

Kisame had no info on Jiraya just his title to go by.

OT: Kisame has an advantage in this fight. Without Jirayas prep time for SM Kisame would simply overrun him with water dome. His summons would be useless against Kisame 1000 shark summons.

In SM no one knows how sage chakra would work on samadah. It could turn to stone or the sword might just shake it off. Kisame has a higher chance in this fight IMO.

Their Tier
Kisame is a tier bellow Jiraiya. This is supported by Kisame admitting inferiority to Jiraiya:

The Match

Jiraiya can counter Samehada and Kisame fusion with Samehada by drawing in natural energy turning Samehada and/or Kisame to stone. Jiraiya's aquatic summons and high doton mastery render Kisame's Suitons a lot less effective against him. Jiraiya is competent enough in base with a 4.5 in Tai, Speed, and Strength + Kekkai: Tengai Hōjin to help keep track of Kisame's movements, where Kisame will not be able to overwhelm him. In Sennin Modo he'll overwhelm Kisame in CQC.

Canonically Kisame has been capture in Genjutsu by Kurunai, so Magen: Gama Rinshō is a game ender and considering the above Jiraiya should be more than capable of holding Kisame off long enough for Fusaku and Shima to charge this Genjutsu.

If we consider hiding in his barrier losing the fight, then Jiraiya loses. But the water dome could easily backfire as it gives him a way to use his barrier, where he is no longer at a disadvantage.
