Could people stop saying this. We all know why itachi said what he did. He doesnt want to fight an ally of konoha, because jiraiya would go all out to kill him and if that happens itachi would also have to go all out, since he doesnt plan on dying by jiraiya's hands and if they both went all out itachi WILL win.

After we found out the truth about itachi, i thought maybe just maybe people would have some common sense to see that itachi was still a konoha ninja and obviosuly wouldnt want to fight any, he just needed something to say to kisame.

Itachi has showed me enough to say that he would wipe the floor with jiraiya, also when they did finally meet jiraiya neither one of them was shaking with fear, in fact kisame held off jiraiyas for itachi to beat the crap out of sasuke.

Anway ill say kisame. Granted he wouldnt want to absorb sage chakra due to its risks, just ask hungry ghost realm what it did to him. Anyway, jiraiya usually uses either oil or fire or both, techniques and either isnt going to work against somebody who can create huge floods of water. When it comes to sheer power, i dont know who wins because kisame has been noted to be extrmemly strong, capable of overpowering asuma with the tip of samahada. Also might gai struggled against his 30% chakra clone. But sage mode, does give jiraiya the much needed strength to fight somebody like him.

Lets not all begin to run before we walk, jiraiya would somehow have to hide in order to gather natural energy and this could pose a problem. Against pein, there were tunnels to hide in, that was a remote location. Also kisame isnt the sort of person, to just watch his opponent run away and gather natural energy, he WILL pursue jiraiya.

Anway kisame would win, but he would have to fuse with samahada
