We cannot concur if Kakuzu has a brain or not, but this is a theory (one of the best on base if I may say). So we cannot really be assured if it's correct or not, but at the very least it's plausible.

It could for example Sasori. But it couldn't for Kakuzu because his body still implies real flesh. He has real ears, heart(s), and blood circulation. Sasori has an excuse because he literally can switch into another doll and has all his thoughts/life into a new wooden puppet. Kakuzu cannot. Naruto still implies that a real brain and heart plays a role in NV. Your premises only works for Kakuzu's mask and not him.

Good observation this may be true.

We actually can see the manga has implied he has blood circulation, real heart(s), and logically he needs a brain to think. Otherwise you will have consistency of believing Kakuzu can still think the same way even by stealing different shinboi hearts (which al have their own minds, DNA, and personality.
