If he start in normal, i don't see him find the time to enter into sage mode.
Kakashi isn't the kind of guy who let that happend,he's above Jiraiya in genjutsu so let the singing genjutsu alone.Not to mension that Sharingan allow to see throw genjutsu and the fact that Kakashi enver been caught into genjutsu except with tsukiyomi which is exception.He was able to counter these genjutsu which Itachi raped Orochimaru.

Kakashi has a huge advantage in ninjutsu with his 1000 jutsus he dominate Jiraiya.

Taijutsu :

Last databook stopped at chapter 409 about 180 chapter ago.They have both 4.5 for taijutsu..Add the sharingan abilities to predict Jiraiya's movement.Kakashi surpasse Jiraiya.

speed :

They have both 4.5 in speed according to the last databook that stopped at chapter 409.However Kakashi improved a lot his speed as you can see vs Tobi & bijuu.

Strengh :

Jiraiya has sage mode, Kakashi has gates which he can open at least the fisrt one wich increase Kakashi's muscle to 100% when a normal person can only use 20% of their muscles' strength.

Kakashi with gates > Jiraiya
Jiraiya sm > Kakashi 1st gate.

Intelligence :

Kakashi obviousely

Jiraiya, even if Kakashi improved a lot .


Genjutsu :

Kakashi has 4 whereas Jiraiya has 3.Kakashi's obviousely a better genjutsu user.Jiraiya admitted himself that he lack of genjutsu skill.


Conclusion :

It would be a good fight they both have a great arsenal of jutsu.Jiraiya's summoning would be usefull to make combo attack but agaisnt a ninja of KAkashi caliber i doubt that it will end with only it.When i see how he was able to cut these 4 jinchuiriki's cloak like butter when Orochimaru's swrod couln't make a slash to Naruto's cloak.Both can use strong jutsu which can end the fight .However Jiraiya will need luck to find the time to enter into SM whereas Kakashi can use Kamui which is unpredictable and undodgable till manga prove the contrary.Add Kakashi's 1000 jutsus, his raiton skill , his copy abilities and rasenga and his clone tricks.
