am not saying this because am a jiraiya fan (am also a huge fan of hanzo the boss). but the fully grown jiraiya would own hanzo simply because that is the whole idea about hanzo. he lost his way and stopped sharpening his skills (improving). so before he even realized, shinobi got stonger around him. but gotta love hanzo he was a man of honor R.I.P

Yeah, I agree.
Hanzo was pretty strong when he belived that he can make world better.
After he lost his faith and stopped training, he bacame a lot weaker.
Even Pain told him that he lost against him because he lost his faith.
But I think prime Hanzo would beat Jiraiya.

Hanzo beat the young Sannin. By the time Jiraiya was 50 he had Sage Mode and a ton of other techniques.

Jiraiya wins this.

It would be close but I would say Jiraiya. He had grown way stronger than when he fought Hanzo in his younger days, now he has boss summons, Sage Mode and Senjutsu.

I think prime Hanzo = SM Jiraiya.
We don't know what techniques he used but ninjas from main villages ran away when they saw him.
He must fight with majority of Kage and with the strongest ninjas in that time.
He could survive so much fights with so many strong people, so he must be very strong.

Prime Hanzo < SM Jiraiya. I might be saying this because I think Jiraiya is awsome, but if he could get Fukasaku and Shima, he would beat Hanzo with a genjutsu. As for Hanzo's salamander, I think Gamabunta, Gamaken, and Gamihiro could take it.

hanzo and jiraiya both fought pain. it seems like all 6 pains had to take out hanzo but then again hanzo had his army with him and pain said he used to respct hanzo but doesnt anymore. plus he didnt give hanzo any praise but he said jiraiya would have won if he had full intel. and unlike pains dead bodies, jiraiyas not immune to poison. one scratch from hanzos scythe and its over
